cadis – Transport Information for Your Supply Chain in Real Time

Customers of the freight forwarding, courier/express, postal, or retail sectors throughout Europe have chosen the customized solutions of the cadis software suite for their logistics processes. Logistics service providers can rely on the hardware and software solutions supplied by KRATZER AUTOMATION as long as efficient solutions are required for transport management across the supply chain. Our solution will be presented at the LogiMat2014 (25th to 27th February 2014, Neue Messe Stuttgart, Hall 5 Stand/Booth 311.

For example optimized stop sequences will be automatically generated. The fleet capacity can be increased by planning shorter routes with more stops.

The solutions for automated transfer of real time transport information, being developed by KRATZER AUTOMATION’s logistics experts, provide customers with comprehensive transparency within the supply chain. Logistics service providers and their customers benefit from being able to track the transport status at any time with immediately documented and processed orders by ePOD. Status data for shipments can be monitored and reported in real time by scanning points at defined process steps including geodata. Therefore cadis provides the basis for real track & trace across the supply chain and generates more transparency within the entire transport chain.

Logistics service providers thus immediately react to changes and incidents due to web based online monitoring. This is achieved through continuous, direct and instantaneous comparison of planned time of arrivals with expected times of arrival – even on tablets or smartphones. This is comfortably displayed in graphical and tabular ways within cadisCONTROL. Immediate action thus takes effect without delay enabling realistic predictions. Customers benefit from increasing adherence to predicted delivery dates.

With cadis Business Intelligence, data and values can be processed and transformed into key performance indicators allowing you to check operational issues such as service quality, adherence to delivery dates, efficiency and to identify and implement effective measures to further optimize operations.

The Logistics Automation division within KRATZER AUTOMATION provides cadis –  the operational TMS – a transport management system for the optimization of planning, execution and analysis of all operational work processes for freight transport operations. With cadis, KRATZER AUTOMATION supports modern transport and logistics providers in their daily tasks and challenges. The operational Transport Management System helps to efficiently optimize numerous processes and transport activities across the supply chain, from the consignor through to the consignee. The broad range of functions of cadis covers numerous operational processes found within the transport supply chain i.e. planning and optimization, execution and monitoring, control and analysis. The service portfolio (range of services) is completed by the documentation and tracking of all process steps and operational processes required by transport and logistics organizations, as well as those found in courier/express, postal, and retail sectors. The modular setup of cadis allows flexible configuration and parameterization so that the software easily adapts to individual customer needs.

About KRATZER AUTOMATION

KRATZER AUTOMATION was established in 1980 by Gerhard Kratzer and Paul Balz under the name of Gerhard Kratzer GmbH, Automatisierungstechnik München. From the beginning, the company has produced industrial, process-related software — in the early years for example for the control centre of Ruhrgas AG, the automation of engine test beds at SHELL and BMW Motorsport and for optimising the service operations of the "yellow angels" of the ADAC automobile association by means of wireless mobile data transmission. In the early 1990s, KRATZER AUTOMATION changed from a pure software company to a general contractor with a full service range from consulting to implementation to maintenance and financing. In 1999, the company was converted into a family-run stock corporation with interests held by employees, senior executives and the founding families.

For more than 30 years, the KRATZER AUTOMATION software firm has been supplying process-related solutions for the automotive industry, electronics manufacturers and the transport business.

KRATZER AUTOMATION has more than 250 employees at its sites at Munich, Stuttgart, Kassel and Wolfsburg. On the international level, the company is running its own subsidiaries in France, Great Britain, the Czech Republic and China.
