KRATZER AUTOMATION AG, a leading provider of transport logistics solutions and test systems for the automotive industry, based in Unterschleissheim, near Munich Germany, has strengthened its management team.

KRATZER AUTOMATION provides advanced R&D test systems for the hybrid and electric vehicle market, a fast changing segment of the industry. Growth of the electric vehicle market is a global trend, and already accounts for more than 50% of KRATZER AUTOMATION’s Test Systems business unit revenue. To be well positioned in this market, KRATZER AUTOMATION announces needed organizational changes to its management today.

Sibylle Pessall, head of the business unit Logistics Automation, has assumed the position of chairman of the board.  In addition, Mr. Uwe Krummenöhler was appointed to the board effective September 1, 2017. As a member of the owner family, Sibylle Pessall will lead the Group's business in collaboration with Uwe Krummenöhler.

Uwe Krummenöhler comes to KRATZER AUTOMATION with extensive experience in the automotive industry, including his role as Head of the Emissions Business Unit at AVL. In addition to his board position, Uwe Krummenöhler will assume operative responsibility for KRATZER AUTOMATION’s Test Systems business unit. In this role, he will focus on the strategic alignment of Test Systems and the optimization of the organization for further international growth.

This new department will give KRATZER AUTOMATION the backbone and flexibility to play an even larger role in hybrid and electric vehicles testing.

"We are delighted that we have gained an experienced and internationally-oriented manager in Uwe Krummenöhler, who has an excellent reputation in the market.
