SOA in electronics manufacturing
With its Operations Information Broker (OIB) standard, Siemens is introducing an enterprise service bus for SIPLACE placement machines. Based on this technology, electronics manufacturers can now advance their software landscape towards a service-oriented architecture (SOA). SIPLACE partner Kratzer Automation is offering the fi rst SOA solutions that let users tie SIPLACE machines into manufacturing execution systems (MES).
